Our Teams

Goodyear Ballpark is home to the Cleveland Guardians and the Cincinnati Reds spring training and player development programs.
Each team has a year-round presence in Arizona, through spring training, extended spring training, Arizona Complex League, Fall Instructional League and the rehabilitation of injured players at their training complexes.
The Guardians and Reds have also made Arizona their second home, and are actively engaged in Goodyear and surrounding communities, participating in charity activities, youth sports programs and other events.

The Cleveland Guardians
The Cleveland Guardians compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as part of the American League (AL) Central division. The Guardians were established as a major league franchise in 1901, as one of the eight charter franchises in the American League.
Since 1994, they have played their regular-season home games at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The team’s spring training facility has been at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona since 2009.
The Guardians have won ten Central Division titles, six American League pennants, and two World Series championships (1920 and 1948).
The Cincinnati Reds
The Cincinnati Reds compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as part of the National League (NL) Central division. The Reds celebrated their 150th anniversary in 2019, were a charter member of the American Association in 1882 and joined the NL in 1890. They played in the NL West division from 1969 to 1993, before joining the Central division in 1994.
The team plays its regular-season home games at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, which replaced Riverfront Stadium in 2003. The Reds relocated their spring training and player development operations from Sarasota, Florida to Goodyear, Arizona in 2010.
The Reds have won five World Series championships, nine NL pennants, one AA pennant, and ten division titles.
