2019 Interns: Who Are They?
The 2019 class of interns is a special group of talented students who are from all over the country. Make sure to say hi if you see them around the park on game day!
Alexa Arslanian - Marketing and Promotions. Alexa is from Mentor, Ohio. She is a senior at Bowling Green State University studying Sports Management with a minor in Marketing. Growing up in the Cleveland area, sports have always been a huge part of her life and led her to pursue a career in the sports industry. Throughout past experiences she has learned that she wants to have a career in baseball, and this was the perfect opportunity. She chose the job, "to experience an aspect of the sport I have never seen while also giving me the opportunity to travel across the country!"
Hannah Doonan - Digital and Social Media. Hannah is from San Dimas, California and is a senior at Dixie State University. She is majoring in Media Studies with a Social Media emphasis. Baseball has always been a huge part of her life, and she comes with her family to spring training every year. She loves the experience of going to sporting events, and getting to be behind the scenes is a dream come true. She chose this internship because of all the valuable experience and knowledge she would gain, and because being at spring training is so much fun.
David Fingeret - Business Development. David is from Gaithersburg, Maryland. He is a senior at the University of Florida majoring in Sport Management and minoring in Business Administration. David has worked with the University Athletic Association at UF, specifically with their NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse team. He has also worked at a start-up in the UF business development program. He joined the Goodyear Ballpark team because the internship combines the sports world and the business that goes on behind the scenes. "This was a fantastic opportunity that allows me to see major league sports in a whole new light!"
Kasia Miceli - Marketing and Promotions. Kasia is from Marseilles, IL and is a senior at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She is studying Business Marketing with a minor in Business Management. Sports have always been an huge part of her life, which led to her interest in a career in the sports industry. She is from the Midwest and was ready to take the next step in a warmer direction, which is why she looked for sports opportunities in Arizona. She looks forward to all of the opportunities Goodyear Ballpark has to provide.
Kyle Mickle - Business Development. Kyle is from Bettendorf, Iowa and is a junior at the University of Iowa majoring in Sport and Recreation Management. He previously worked for the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. He's also done some work with the Iowa Wolves (G-League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves) and Iowa Hawkeye Athletics. He chose this job because he has enjoyed working in baseball and thought it would be a great opportunity to take the next step and work for a venue that hosts two Major League Baseball teams.
Adam Ziervogel - Operations. Adam is a Parks, Recreation, and Sport major with an emphasis in Sport Management from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. He loves the sporting environment and wants to help make the experience at sporting events memorable for others. He chose Goodyear Ballpark because he had never attended spring training, and because of the scenery and change in climate the area offers.
